Diet Fatigue

The sheer number of diets and weight-loss theories is overwhelming and some even have proven results (short term for the most part) and yet each one contradicts the other.  However, the thing that they all have in common is an unsustainable and often deprivation-based format. 

Research has shown that 98% of people that lose weight gain it back within 6 months. The diet business as a whole is based on deprivation. Our goal should be to look at the 2% of people that lose weight and are keeping it off. What are they doing right?

The missing link is a comprehensive system, one which is a balance of nutrition, holistic approach and science. A customized approach that understands that we are as unique as our DNA, what works for one person may not work for you. Having balance is not just about what to eat but when and what we consume. This can very often be a challenge of time, which can mean lifestyle modulation such as outsourcing meal prep for the busy urbanite. Can you imagine having a chef prepare fresh, organic ready-made meals for you? This might not be an option for all but can be one for those who see an opportunity cost of their health vs time.

The holistic part of the equation works on retraining our brain on lifestyle changes. We didn’t become who we are overnight therefore don’t expect the same with your health and life goals. It’s important to understand that small steps in the right directions will yield big results.

My Story

I started my journey as a health & life coach after my own life-changing experience. For the majority of my life, I was overweight, I had high cholesterol, a fatty liver, gout, and struggled to diet unsuccessfully. The time finally came to make a major change in my life. I owned up and took responsibility for who I had become and embarked on an incredible journey. That’s how the Total Body Transformation Program came into existence.
